Roun-Domel Dangal: Rehmat Ali-Gurvinder share title

Rehmat Ali of Maller Kotla and Gurvinder Singh of Ludhiana shared the main bout after fight between them ended in a draw in the 34th Roun-Domel Kesari Vishal Dangal which was organized by Thill Roun-Domel Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in district Udhampur.
Both these wrestlers gave a tough fight to each other in the 37-minute long bout but only to be declared joint winners by the technical committee of the dangal. Being contenders for the top bout, Rehmat Ali and Gurvinder were given away a cash prize of Rs 5500 each by Association president Shiv Kumar Sharma and secretary, Rakesh Khajuria.
In all, 51 prominent wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, J&K Police, BSF and locals took part in this dangal wherein Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia was chief guest.
The second main bout was won by Yashpreet of Doomcharri beating Baldev Singh of Himachal. Winner of this bout got Rs 3000 as cash prize while runners-up, Baldev Singh was given away Rs 2000. Benia of Basantgarh defeated Abdul Gani of Maller Kotla in Punjab to win the third main bout and a cash prize of Rs 1800.
Shiv Kumar Sharma in his address to the gathering complimented the Roun-Domel Dangal Committee for arranging over Rs one lakh, the total expenditure incurred on the dangal.
Members and technical officials who helped in the smooth conduct included Dharam Singh Ranyal Lambardar (president); ex-Sarpanch, Capt. Kour Singh (Retd); Om Parkash Verma; Yov Raj Katoch; Ashok Kumar Padha; Rajinder Singh Ranyal (Sonu); Vijay Singh (Biju); Capt. Lehar Singh (Retd); Mohd Fareed; Rakesh Khajuria; Sanjeev Sharma and Lochan Singh.
Other results: Onkar Singh of BSF bt Gosha of Chandigarh; Mukha of Dinanagar bt Bhup of Chandigarh; Rishi Paul of Jallandhar held Anuj of Delhi to draw (all prize money bouts); Kulbir Singh bt Sarwan; Murad Ali bt Subash; Sarwan Singh bt Teg Ali; Amarjeet bt Jamal Din; Attat Din bt Shingara; Billu bt Suresh; Amandeep bt Ravinder Singh; Billu bt Prem Verma; Happy bt Ghulam Ali; Sulshan bt Sarwan; Shindha bt Sonu; Benia bt Sukhwant; Balbir bt Naresh; Narinder bt Karnail Singh; Raju held Isher to draw; Pawan held Pappu draw and Dana held Sonu to a draw.
