| Patwari suspended on corruption charges at Pulwama | | |
Srinagar, August 30: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama in an unprecedented move suspended and attached a Pathwari for accepting a bribe of Rs 15000. Reports reaching Srinagar indicate that a Pathwari Ehsan-ul-Haq Turray demanded a bribe of Rs15000 from a persons who wanted mutation of his ancestral land , but he failed to hand over mutation papers to the said person later.
As the matter was brought to notice of Deputy Commissioner, he directed Sub Divisional Magistrate Shopian to place the Pathwari concerned under suspension immediately. The Sub Divisional Magistrated seized the records from Pathwari concerned, placed him under suspension and attached him with the office of Deputy Commissioner vide order no: 444-46/SDM/SPM/06. |
