Angered over the denial of food by locals, militants belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit beat up 10 villagers in Kishtwar district.
According to official sources, a group of armed Hizbul Mujahideen militants barged into houses at Kuhaat village in Chatroo tehsil of Kishtwar late last night, and demanded food.
The villagers, who expressed their inability to provide food due to late hours, were dragged and beaten up, official sources said.
Security forces have launched an operation to track down the militants responsible for the act. |
