| Govt accords sanction for prosecution of Patwari, Additional Patwari | | | Early Times Reporter

General Administration Department, Vigilance today accorded sanction for prosecution of Abdul Salam Dar s/o Ghulam Mohd Dar r/o Noubough, Chadoora, Budgam, the then Patwari and Mohd Altaf Dar r/o Baghat, the then Additional Patwari, both of Patwar Halqa Dharambugh Kralpora, Chadoora, Budgam who were caught red-handed by the Vigilance Organization on September 20, 2007 while demanding and accepting Rs 2000 and Rs 500 respectively as illegal gratification from the complainant for the purpose of demarcation of land.
The sanction was accorded in the case which was registered on the complaint of one Mushtaq Ahmed Wani on September 20, 2007 alleging therein that his brother-in-law Nisar Ahmed Rather (cancer patient) intended to dispose off 10 Marlas of land to the complainant to meet the medical expenses. The complainant approached the Patwari and Additional Patwari Halqa Dharambugh Kralpora who demanded Rs 2000 and Rs 500 respectively for demarcation of land. The Vigilance Organization, after registration of the case, laid a trap in the Patwarkhana and recovered the illegal gratification amount and registered a case and also seeking sanction which was granted today.
