| Yaseen hopeful of good results from Indo-Pak composite dialogue | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | May 21
President PDF and Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has hailed the decision for resuming dialogue process by India and Pakistan. He said the people of the state have pinned hopes with the dialogue process adding that dialogue was the only way to resolve issues. Addressing series of well attended public meetings on Wednesday at Danurs, Hukh Litar and Chermajroo in Budgam district, Hakeem Yaseen said that most of the commitments made under Common Minimum Programme have been fulfilled during recent years and added that speedy and equitable development of the state has been ensured. He said government was determined to work for lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir adding that the measures already taken in this direction would continue for restoration of peace, over all development and prosperity of the state. Hakeem Yaseen said that government launched a massive development programme which has started showing results. He said government was persuading its twin agenda for peace and development in the state. “The day is not away when state would achieve the goal of peace and prosperity”. He said objective of the government was to provide better road communication, safe drinking water facilities, un-interrupted power supply and adequate medicare to the people across the state. He said government was aware of the un-employment problem being faced by the educated youth adding that besides launching fast track recruitment policy in the state to provide employment to the educated youth comprehensive efforts were being made to tackle this problem. “In view of the economic position of the state, government was not in a position to provide jobs to all the educated youth, so youth have to take recourse to self employment by setting up their own income generating units under various employment potential areas like Tourism, Industries, Horticulture, and Food Processing available in the state” Hakeem said. The Minister said that border district Poonch would be connected with the Budgam district by a road in near future adding that for the purpose Arizal-Poonch road would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 25 crore. The road would provide better journey facility to the border people who are shifting from Poonch to north Kashmir in summer. He said distribution system of the power supply in the Budgam district would be streamlined and steps taken to electrify neglected areas adding that during last year over Rs. 4 crore were utilized for installing new transfers in the district. PDF President said that his party would carry forward its mission to achieve lasting peace and progress and work for amicable settlement of all issues. He said PDF would continue its role as a responsible political group within the government to come up to the expectations of the people and getting their problems mitigated.
