Jugal inspects Rs 210 cr on-going mega projects in Srinagar city

Asserting that government was determined to provide well built infrastructure of roads, bridges and buildings in summer capital city of Srinagar, the Minister for Roads and Buildings Jugal Kishore has said that execution of different development projects was in full swing in Srinagar and exhorted upon engineers and officers to redouble their efforts and work with devotion and missionary spirit for completion of all ongoing developmental projects within stipulated time frame for early succor of the people especially the citizens of Srinagar city.
Interacting with the engineers and people during his day-long inspection of various under execution projects in the city today he said that at present construction work of various buildings, bridges and roads was in full swing at the cost of Rs 210 crore.
While inspecting the progress on Rs 42 crore handicrafts complex at exhibition ground, the Minister was apprised that the construction work of two storey building has been started and would be completed within 18 months. He was informed that the business development centre at Urban Haat is at final stage at a cost of Rs 3.70 crore.
Jugal also visited under execution site of four lane 17.8 km Panthachowk-Parimpora road involving Rs. 60.67 crore and was informed that latest technology has been used for the construction of this road for the first time in the state and would be completed by to the end of October this year.
The Minister also visited collapsed Goripora Bemina bridge and assured the people that the bridge would be reconstructed within 15 days for to and fro facilities of the people. He instructed the Chief Engineer Roads and Buildings to initiate necessary measures at the earliest. He also inspected the construction work of Rs 82 crore court complex at Batamaloo and was apprised that Rs 14 crore have been incurred so far and its execution was in full swing. This court complex would comprise of 59 rooms, auditorium library and other facilities.
