| State Chess: Ritwan bags double title

Ritwan Sountra today made it a double title win taking away the junior boys trophy also in the State (selection) Chess Championship organized by All J&K Chess Association, here today.
Winner of the men’s title, young Ritwan clinched the junior boys (under-19) trophy outplaying Abhishek in the final round. Danish Pathania finished third. M Singh (4th), Rajat Bhardwaj (5th), Agrim Pandotra (6th) and Vandit Gandotra (7th) were other position holders.
Meanwhile, the junior girls (under-19) trophy went to Aditi Sharma. Shikha and Akanksha Koul bagged second and third position respectively.
In under-15 boys category, Sarvesh Langer, Abhinav, Chetan Gandotra and Agrim Pandotra bagged first, second, third and fourth place respectively.
The winners and runners-up of different categories were given away prizes by general secretary of All J&K Chess Association, Baldev Raj and joint secretary, Parminder Kumar.
