Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 21 The KC Public School retained the under-14 boys table tennis trophy in the inter-school Jammu district indoor competitions organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here today. In the best of five final, KC Public School defeated KC International 3-0. In the first singles, Parath Sapru trounced Sushant in straight sets 11-4, 11-6. Himanshu also won his singles beating Abhay Sharma in easy straight sets 11-0, 11-6. In the doubles, the pair of Apoorv and Parth outplayed Sushant and Abhay in easy straight sets 11-2, 11-3. Earlier, being the defending champion, KC Public got a direct entry into the final while KC International had to play semi-final against MHAC Nagbani. In the semi-finals, KC International defeated MHAC Nagbani 3-1 in best of five games. Meanwhile, in under-17 year category, MHAC Nagbani school entered the final today beating S D Tara Puri School in the semi-finals. In a quarterfinal match, SOS School beat St. Peters to make it into the semi-finals. Now, in the semi-finals, SOS School shall take on the defending champions, K C Public School. “In all, six teams turned-up in the under-17 boys category,” tournament incharge, Sunita Goel told reporters
