| HC asks state to consider petitioner for out of turn promotion | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 22 Justice YP Nargotra of J&K High Court Jammu Wing in a petition filed by Sub-Inspector, seeking out of turn promotion, has directed the respondents to accord consideration to the case of petitioner on the analogy of Mohan Lal Kaith who has been accorded promotion in terms of Government order passed on May 11, 2006 within a period of three months. The petitioner filed this petition projecting his grievance that his case for out of turn promotion is not being accorded consideration by the respondents despite the recommendations made by the competent authority. Adv Ajay Abrol appearing for the petitioner Vijay Singh Choudhary Sub-Inspector, submitted that petitioner would be satisfied if respondents are directed to consider the case of petitioner on the analogy of Mohan Lal Kaith, who was accorded out of turn promotion. On the other hand AAG BS Salathia submitted that the respondents would have no objection for according consideration to the case of the petitioner for his out of turn promotion. Upon this Justice YP Nargotra disposed off the petition in view of the submissions made by both the sides and directed respondents to accord consideration to the case of petitioner on the analogy of Mohan Lal Kaith and also directed that the petitioner that he shall file a fresh representation to the respondents along with a copy of this order and the judgment of Mohan Lal Kaith.
