| Omar to continue updating his blog | | | Early Times Reporter

All those people who thought that National conference chief Omar Abdullah has decided against publishing blogs on the official website of National conference has responded by announcing that I am not hanging up my boots. “I am alive and kicking”.
Off late blogs written by Omar on variety of topics have been generating lot of heat and dust in power circles and media rooms. His frankness and open invittion to share hte blog space to debate issues affecting people of Jammu and Kashmir has given him the opportunity to shre his iew point with like minded people and thinkers besides giving handle to his adversaries to attack him for adopting unconventional forum to discuss the issues.
In his latest blog, Omar has said that ,” those of you who thought that I was going to disappear in a fit of pique or childish melodrama relax, I”m not going anywhere. I enjoy blogging too much to give it up”.
Omar said “When I started the only people who commented were my mum and sisters now I have people from all over the world responding and commenting. I never expected bouquets of roses. In fact I enjoy the thorns much more because its criticism that one learns from, not praise.Growing wide with each blog entry Omar had also admitted in his blog titled “not hanging up my boots,” I’m not a saint and have never claimed sainthood. I”m not perfect nor have I lead a blame free life. Over time I”m sure I”ll get down to talking about where I think I went wrong but this is just to say that this blog is alive and well. Yes, it took 24 hours to administer some of the comments but that was because of scheduling issues, I have a life beyond this blog which may come as a surprise to some of you, not because I was considering killing this forum.
The day I have to exit from the world of blogging I”ll announce it loud and clear here till then I”m alive and kicking”. |
