| HC stays appointment of contractual lecturers in HME Department | | | Early Times Reporter

First Puisne Judge of State High Court, Justice Nisar Ahmed Kakru, has stayed the Government order No 351-HME of 2008 dated April 21, 2008 whereby respondent No 3 & 4 have been illegally selected and appointed as contractual lecturers in Health & Medical Education (Orthopedic) Department.
This order has been passed in a petition filed by Dr. Tahir Afzal seeking quashment of the Government order issued on April 21, 2008 whereby private respondent NO 3 & 4 have been selected and appointed as lecturers in orthopedic in the Health & Medical Education Department and also seeking direction to the respondents to select and appoint the petitioner as lecturer orthopedics in view of his higher merit than the private respondents.
Justice Kakru, after Adv Rozina Afzal appearing for the petitioner, stayed the operation of the impugned order passed on April 21, 2008, subject to the condition that the petitioner takes steps for service of the respondents through speed-post and serve the private respondents Dasti as well, with liberty to respondents to seek early listing of the matter, if they so choose. This direction shall be subject to the objections from the other sides. JNF |
