| JURSEA protests delay in tests | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 23 Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association (JURSEA) today staged a protest demonstration at Jammu University against the Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig allegedly for not fulfilling promise of conducting written test of Naib Tehsildhar on time. The protesters also torched the effigy of Deputy Chief Minister as a mark of protest. Vikas Sharma, president of the JURSEA said that two month back when JURSEA attempted to gherao deputy Chief Minister in Jammu University, he had assured the members of JURSEA to conduct the Naib-Tehsildar test as soon as possible but he has failed to fulfill his promise. He alleged that only blue-eyed persons are being recruited by this agency and deserving educated youth is deprived of their right to employment. Sharma further said that repeated postponed of the test put a question mark over the working of the SSRB. Due to the prolonged delay in the recruitment process some who at the verge over-aged will lost his/her chance, he added. He demanded railway reservation counter in Jammu University, streamlining of functioning of PSC and SSRB and 15 points to M.Phil scholar in SSRB and 20 points to P.hd scholars, release of selection list of Junior-Assistant, patwaris and Statistical-Assistant etc. Sharma informed that protest will continue on tomorrow and on May 26 we will observe University Bandh and pass on a message to President of India that Jammu youth is deliberately ignored by State Government. Among others who participated in protest were Kamaldeep Singh, Rakesh Chib, Irfain Qureshi, Aman Sharma and others. |
