Jammu | May 23
As a mark of protest against the decades old discrimination against Jammu region, the Shaki Dal has decided to field 87 candidates on all the assembly seats in the state during the ensuing polls.
Addressing a press conference here today, President, Shakti Dal Kuldeep Sharma said that the respective governments in the state have discriminated against the people of Jammu and in an attempt to check the discrimination the party will contest from all the seats. He added that the party would soon announce the candidates in this regard.
He said that it is very unfortunate that the Prime Minster during his visit to Jammu announced package only in favor of Kashmiri migrants and for the people of the Jammu he felt no responsibility and announced only the peanuts.
Among other who were present on the occasion were VK Katal, Umrao Singh and Romesh Chowdhary.
