| Clerical employees protest against police action | | | Early Times Reporter

To express their resentment against the lathicharge by the police authorities on the colleagues who were on peaceful protest yesterday, clerical employees of state Govt today held a protest demonstration against the state police here.
Addressing a large number of clerical employees, coordinator state clerical employees, Ram Kumar Sharma said this is the violation of the democratic rights that the employees who were peacefully protesting were resorted to heavy cane charge by the police.
He added that government is pressuring the clerical employees to disband their strike and in this regard is ordering the police to do so.
He urged the other employees organizations to come forward and support the clerical employees in their ongoing strike against the anti-employees policies of the government.
Among other who addressed the rally were, KA Dewani, Sayeeda Bano, Gulam Bai Darzi, Mustaq Ahmed, Chamil Singh, Chain Singh and Preetma Sharma.
Meanwhile, in a separate protest held here today clerical staff of directorate of industries and commerce gathered outside the office premises and expressed anguish over the action of the police. They also said that the protest will continue till their demands are not met with. |
