| PNB organizes seminar on NEFT | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 23 Deputy General Manger, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Sharmila Thakur made a strong plea for use of NEFT system by banks for inter-city and inter-bank remittance of funds. Speaking at a seminar organized by Punjab National Bank (PNB), she emphasized that through a well made out power point presentation on NEFT before a gathering, representing banks, corporate and customers. Earlier inaugurating the seminar Zonal Manager PNB Vivek Arya informed the gathering that NEFT expands for National Electronic Fund transfer system launched by PNB in all the 76 branches in J&K zone. The system is functional through electronic messaging channeled through RBI NEFT server installed in Mumbai and under this system customer can remit funds at a very nominal cost from one bank to any other bank to any place in the country. The system can prove quite useful to traders, students, and public in general over here while armed forces and migrant labourers in the state can also make total use of the system to remit funds back home in instant and secured manner he added. |
