| Honesty still prevails! Doc returns 70,000 to a patient | | | Early Times Reporter R S Pura | May 23 Giving lie to common thinking that honesty has died in this age of technology, a doctor has set an example by returning an amount of Rs 1.10 lakh to a patient who had forgotten his bag at the doctor’s room in a hospital. Doctor Madan Lal Kundal expressing rarely found (these days) honsest, returned a bag containing Rs 70,000 to the patient who had mistakenly left it in the community hospital R.S Pura. A lady identified as Jeeto Devi w/o Sub Inspector BSF, Tej Ram along with her daughter had visited the hospital for treatment and mistakenly left her bag containing Rs 70,000 cash and went away. Doctor, during examining other patients, found the bag containing Rs 70,000 and kept it in his locker. The next day lady came to BMO R.S Pura hospital doctor Baldev Raj and inquired for the bag. BMO phoned doctor Madan Lal Kundal and got positive response. The same bag was handed over to the owner. Pertinent to mention doctor Madan Lal had also handed over Rs 40,000 to the manager of J&K Bank few days back when he found the amount on cashier’s counter. |
