For the under-14 badminton title, Model Institute of Education and Research (MIER) School shall lock horns with St. Peters in the ongoing inter-school (girls) competitions of Jammu district organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here tomorrow.
In the semi-finals, played today, MIER School defeated KC Public School by two games to one while St. Peters trounced Army School Kaluchak 2-0.
St. Peters girls also made it into the final of under-17 badminton beating MIER School 2-0. Now, in the final, to be played tomorrow, St. Peters shall meet Presentation Convent. Earlier, Presentation Convent defeated Delhi Public School (DPS) 2-0 in the second semi-final.
TABLE TENNIS: KC Public School won the girls under-14 title beating Presentation Convent 3-0 in best of five games. In the under-17 girls category, the MHAC Nagbani shall take on KC Public School in the final tomorrow. In the semi-finals played today, MHAC Nagbani beat Presentation Convent 3-2.
CARROM: Shine Dogra of MIER School won the girls under-17 chess title beating Arushi of SOS. In under-14 category, Sunali Pandita of SOS defeated Sunali Ashok of SOS in the final.
CHESS: Arpita Bhau of MIER trounced Shreya Dhar of SOS to win the girls under-17 Chess title. In the semi-finals, Arpita beat Rupali Mukerji of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Satwari while Shreya defeated Jagrit Koul of MHAC Nagbani in the second semi-final.
