| 12 RD officers pocket out of turn promotions | | | Early Times Reporter

Doling out massive favors on the lower rung of civil administration, the government today ordered wholesale promotions, mostly in the Rural Development Department.
Even though an order issued by the government did not actually pertain to promotions as it was about transfers but 13 of the total 15 officers who were transferred were posted to the next higher rank in their own pay and grades. This is one of the several dozen orders issued in past few months where officers are posted to new positions by carrying out promotions in their own grades.
In today’s order, mostly effecting the Rural Development department, the officers of rank of District Panchayat Officer, who are more or less equivalent to Block Development Officers, have been appointed as Assistant Commissioners in the Rural Development Department.
Accordingly, as per the government order Tariq Ahmad Zargar, DPO Baramulla has been transferred and posted as ACD Bandipora in his own pay and grade. He shall look after the work of P. O (Self Employment) in addition to his own duties till further orders.
M. L. Raina, DPO Udhampur (HQ Reasi has been transferred and posted as ACD Reasi in his own pay and grade. He shall look after the work of P.O. (Self Employment) in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Raman Kumar I/C P.O. DPAP Udhampur has been transferred and posted as ACD Kishtwar in his own pay and grade vice Mr. Kalyan Singh.
Kalyan Singh, I/C DPO Kishtwar has been transferred and posted as DPO Publicity, Directorate of Rural Development Jammu alongwith post.
P. S. Rathore I/C P.O Water Shed Rajouri has been transferred and posted as ACD Udhampur in his own pay and grade vice Mr. R. C. Puri.
R. C. Puri, ACD Udhampur has been transferred and posted as ACD Kathua vice Mr. Shyam Bijyal.
Shyam Bijyal ACD Kathua has been transferred and posted as P.O. DPAP Udhampur vice Mr. Raman Kumar.
Mohinder Singh I/C P.O DPAP Doda shall continue as P.O. DPAP Doda in his own pay and grade.
Mohammad Younis Malik, DPO Kupwara has been transferred and posted as ACD Kupwara in his own pay and grade. He shall look after the work of DPO Kupwara in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Qazi Sarwar awaiting order of adjustment has been transferred and posted as ACD Pulwama in his own pay and grade vide Mr. Gazanffer Ali.
Gazanffer Ali ACD/P.O (Wage Employment) Pulwama has been transferred and posted as P.O. (Self Employment) Shopian against available vacancy.
Vikas Sharma, I/C P.O. Self Employment Jammu shall continue as P.O. Self Employment Jammu in his own pay and grade.
Imam Din, DPO Doda (HQ Ramban) has been transferred and adjusted as ACD Ramban in his own pay and grade against available vacancy.
Choudhary Mohammad Rashid BDO Surankote has been transferred and posted as ACD Poonch in his own pay and grade vice Mr. A. H. Banday.
A. H. Banday ACD Poonch has been transferred and posted as P.O (Water Shed) Rajouri.
Ashok Kumar, I/C DPO Kargil has been transferred and posted as ACD Samba in his own pay and grade, thereby relieving Mr. Sudershan Kumar of additional charge of ACD Samba.
It has also been ordered that posts of DPO Baramula, Udhampur and Doda attached in the districts of Bandipura, Reasi and Ramban respectly for operationalization of newly created districts as temporary arrangements have been reverted back to the old districts with immediate effect. |
