DLSA celebrates international justice day

Jammu, July 17: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Udhampur observed World day for international justice here at the Bar auditorium today.
The aim of the day was to promote international criminal justice and as a way of supporting the work of the ICC.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority , Principal District & Session Judge Mohan Lal Manhas.
Beside others Additional Session Judge Sobha Ram Gandhi, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohamed Rafiq Chak, Secretary DLSA Sub Judge MS Sandeep Kour, President Udhampur Bar Association Jagdev Singh Slathia and a large number of Bar members were present on the occasion .
Speaking on the occasion Chairman District Legal Services Authority Principal District & Session Judge Mohan Lal Manhas and Secy DLSA Sandeep Kour said that World Day for International Justice, also referred to as Day of International Criminal Justice or International Justice Day, is an international day celebrated throughout the world on July 17 as part of an effort to recognize the emerging system of international criminal justice. They added that the aim of observing International Justice Day is to unite everyone who wants to support justice as well as promote victims' rights. It is to help prevent serious crimes and those that put the peace, security and well-being of the world at risk.
President Bar Jagdev Singh Slathia, Advocate Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Advocate Gulshan Singh Shan Advocate Sanjt Kumar and Ranjit Parihar also spoke on the occasion.
