Jammu, July 17: Govt. College of Commerce for Women, Bhagwati Nagar,Jammu was inaugurated today on 16th July, 2019 by Talat Parvez Rohella, worthy Secretary to Govt. Higher Education Department, J&K Government in the presence of Prof R.K. Ganjoo Director College Development Council, University of Jammu and Prof Anil Gupta, Nodal officer, Principal Govt. SPMR College of Commerce Jammu.
The Secretary congratulated the Principal for his efforts in providing Commerce stream to the girl students. In his interaction with the students he laid emphasises on Learning through skill based education which will help them in their professional life. The College for the time being will run in the makeshift arrangement in Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar. The occasion was graced by Prof S P Sarswat, Nodal Principal GGM Science College, Prof P K Sharma, Principal Govt. MAM College Jammu, Ms SK Gupta Principal, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School and Staff members Dr San-dhya Bharadwaj, Prof Savita Jamwal, Dr Pawanjeet Bali, Dr Preeti Salathia, Ms Rachna and Jagdish Kumar. The students present on the occasion were extremely happy and thanked the Secretary and the Higher Education Department for this step to provide better education to girl students.
