Plantation drive held at GHS Pouni

Pouni, July 17: Inservice Teachers perusing BEd through IGNOU GHSS Ransoo under the stewardship of Sanjeev Kumar Sharma Coordinator BEd organized mass plantation drive at GHS Pouni
The program was organised as a part of various initiatives by the District Administration for the conservation of water under the guidelines of Nirmal Choudhary CEO Reasi.
65 BEd teachers along with the staff of GHS Pouni including community members took part in the program.
Shiv Kumar Sharma Former joint secy State Sports council & Sr BJP leader was the chief guest while Vaishno Devi HM, Panch Pouni Sunita Sharma Sarpanch Pouni were the guests of honour.
Sapplings of Chinar tree, medicinal plants including ornamental plants were planted by the teaching fraternity & community members present on the occasion.
Earlier, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (Organiser) Coordinator BEd Center Ransoo presented welcome address and highlighted the aims and objectives of the campaign "plant trees for conservation of water" which is to promote the initiative of District administration to enhance conservation of water. He also presented the tentative schedule of plantation activities to be carried on in coming fortnight especially in various schools of far-flung areas.
Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also the Prabhari Sports cell BJP J&K and Vice President of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India lauded the efforts of teaching fraternity for mass awareness among rural masses for the conservation of water by planting more and more trees and assured for all possible support in achieving objectives of the ongoing campaign.
Later pledge was also taken by the officials present on the occasion for celebrating Vanmahotsava with mass plantation. Vaishno Devi HM GHS Pouni presented vote of thanks. Daleep Kumar, Rasvir Singh, Ujagar Singh,Daljeet Kour, Baljeet Kour, Ranjita Manhas, Tejbir kour,Ganesh Dass, Laxshmi,Powail Singh, Reenu sharma,Mamta, Pooja Devi along with community members present on the occasion.
