| JKNPP holds Govt responsible for Samba encounter | | Bhim Rath tramples upon coalition rule | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 24 The Bhim Rath of the Panthers Party today trampled upon the ruling coalition while blaming it for its failure to tackle militancy related activities and violence. Leading the “Rath” Panthers Party supreme, Prof Bhim Singh, organized a pre-poll public rally at Samba where he and his party colleague, Harsh Dev Singh, lambasted the state Government for having made a mockery of advancing the budget session of the state legislature. The Panthers Party held the state Government responsible for the recent militant attack in Samba where a number of innocent civilians were killed and wounded. Harsh Dev said that the coalition Government had advanced the budget session of the state legislature from March to January. He said that the reason given for this exercise was to prolong the working period so that work on all the sanctioned new projects could be started from February onwards. He said that it was amazing that the month of May was about to end but funds for the new projects had not been released. Describing the coalition government as a bunch of jugglers, Harsh Dev and Bhim Singh said the Government has failed on all fronts with the result political uncertainty has increased. They said Chief Minister’s war against corruption and in favour of transparency in the working of Government departments had proved toothless. The Panthers Party also held the Congress led Government responsible for aggravating the level of regional discrimination forcing people of the Jammu region to suffer the pangs of a raw deal. The Panthers party leaders called upon people to vote against those political parties that had given a step motherly treatment to the region. |
