| 11 district horticulture officers promoted as CHOs | | | Early Times Reporter

The Government have promoted 11 district level subject matter specialists as Chief Horticulture Officers (CHOs) in their own pay and grade with charge allowance. However, these promotions would be subject to the outcome of the writ petition, if any, pending before the High court and pending clearance of DPC/PSC.
The Government order issued by the Agriculture Production Department in this regard has made it clear that this temporary placement shall not confer any preferential right on any incumbents when regular promotion through DPC/PSC are made under prescribed rules and norms.
Those promoted included Bipan Lal Pandita, Kuldeep Raj, Piarey Krishen Koul, Sushil Kumar Chatta, O P Koul, Javad Ahmed Bhat, Tarvinder Singh, Avtar Singh, Harjinder Singh, Mohammed Najeeb Khan and Ghulam Hassan Ganai.
Consequent upon these promotions, the government have ordered transfers and postings in the Horticulture Department.
According to the order Kuldeep Raj on promotion has been posted as Incharge Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar, J L Raina I/C CHO Udhampur has been transferred and posted as Incharge CHO, Kathua . Jadev Nath Sharma I/C CHOKathua has been transferred and posted as I/C CHO Udhampur. Bipan Lal Pandita on promotion has been transferred and posted as I/C CHO Rajouri vice N L Sharma who has been posted as Incharge CHO Kishtwar against newly created post.
Piarey Krishan Koul on promotion has been posted as Incharge CHO Samba against newly created post while Sushil Kumar Chatta on promotion as Incharge CHO has been attached with Director Horticulture Kashmir. O P Koul and Javad Ahmed Bhat on promotion have been posted as Incharge CHO Budgam and Incharge CHO Kargil respectively. Shabir Ahmed Zargar incharge CHO Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Incharge CHO Baramulla against an available post. Farooq Ahmed Arahar Incharge CHO Budgam has been transferred and posted at Pulwama vice Abdul Gani Sofi who has been posted as Incharge CHO Ganderbal against newly created post.
Mohammed Nazib Khan on promotion has been posted as Incharge Incharge CHO Kulgam against newly created post while Ghulam Nabi Shah on transfer has been posted as Incharge CHO Shopian against newly created post.
Tarvinder Singh and Avtar Singh on promotion have been posted as incharge CHO Reasi against newly created post and Incharge CHO Kupwara against available post respectively. Harjinder Singh on promotion has been posted as Incharge SHO Ramban against newly created post while Nissar Ahmed Bhat district level subject matter specialist, Pomology, Anantnag has been ordered to hold the charge of CHO Anantnag in addition to his own duties till further orders. Ghulam Hassan Gani on promotion has been posted as Incharge CHO Bandipora against newly created post. |
