7/20/2019 6:31:33 PM

Kathua, July 20:- A large number of teachers masters on board today staged massive protest demonstration at outside the office of Chief Education Officer Kathua and called on DEPO Kathua ( as CEO Kathua was on meeting at DSEJ) under the leadership of District President Subash Sharma and on the direction of Sh Ganesh Khajuria Chairperson, The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum, J&K. The protesters were raised number of demands which were pending due to the allegedly negligence of the state government.
While addressing the agitators , Subash Sharma disclosed that a large number of SSA Teachers were converted into Teacher’s Grade 2 & 3 after conducting 6 months long agitation by JKTF followed by one month long chain hunger strike. The SAC decision was appreciated by one and all in the state but unfortunately SSA Head Teachers were ignored who got nothing to that historical direction of the SAC whosoever 61000 SSA Teachers were linked with state budget and converted into Grade 2& 3.
Sharma expressed anguished on the step-motherly attitude of state government that voluntarily ignored the status of SSA Head teachers who were selected as General Line Teacher duly by JKSSB through proper advertisement but when they were posted on SSA posts, government consider them SSA Head teachers whereas their colleagues who are in Non plan posts are enjoying all type of facilities that a general line teacher/ master must have.
Subash Sharma Distt President JKTF and Gurnam Singh Zonal President Barnoti appealed Honorable Governor to intervene in the matter and release all pending salaries of SSA head Teachers who are now at the edge of starvation without salary and arrears of 7th pay Commission. They realised that the teachers are meant for peace, development and enlightenment but step motherly attitude of state government compels them to come on the road for their rights and positon. They urged higher officials to realise their pain and condition in high inflation rate without salary for months.
