| Construction of barracks should be completed in time: Khoda | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 25 The Jammu and Kashmir DGP Kuldeep Khoda has said that construction of newly created district offices, barracks, battalions, residential quarters and alternate accommodation for the force should be completed in time bound period. At a meeting to review the progress of construction works Koda said all construction works would be monitored at senior level, according to a police spokesperson. The Congress-PDP coalition government created eight new districts, three sub-divisional and 12 tehsils in the state for better development last year. Mechanism to monitor the progress of each construction work and land acquisition cases would be followed up by senior level authorities, Khoda said adding wherever the organisation needs the land, process should be made quickly at all levels. The DGP urged that plans for future accommodation for the organization at all levels should be drawn and process started in this direction. Senior police officers said 46 of the 50 works under construction at various districts, were nearing to completion and will be handed over to the department by ending July this year. |
