BJP lashes out at Omar Abdullah
7/22/2019 10:20:55 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 22: Taking serious note of NC Vice President Omar Abdullah's statement that BJP government at Centre has been using the state Governor to implement the BJP's agenda in the state, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) State Spokesperson Brig Anil Gupta says that it speaks volumes of the discriminatory and exclusive agenda of National Conference which ruled the state for four years that has led to the present situation of virtual revolt by the Jammu and Ladakh regions.
BJP has undone the blatant discrimination that was done by the tunnel-vision NC government which never looked beyond the Kashmir Valley except for seeking votes with communal and divisive agenda. It is BJP's all-inclusive agenda for the holistic development of all three regions of the state that has resulted in a vote share of 46.4% which is an indicator of the party's popularity reminded Brig Gupta to Omar Abdullah.
It is the nationalist agenda of BJP that has broken the back bone of terrorism and terror support network in Kashmir asserted Brig Gupta. "Can Omar Abdullah explain as to why he as CM of the state failed to act against the terror funding and terror support network? Why were the numerous cases of terror financing and Hawala operations registered against various Hurriyat leaders and others languishing in files and not proceeded against by his government or the other Kashmir-centric governments? Why no action was taken to pursue the murder case against Yaseen Malik for murder of unarmed IAF personnel? Why no action was taken by him when Sufism was being side lined and combative Wahhabism gaining roots that has led to radicalisation in the Valley," questioned Brig Gupta.
How can NC justify blatant discrimination against Jammu & Ladakh regions in terms of budgetary support, government jobs, health and education infrastructure, development of tourism, neglect of palaces, forts and other symbols of Dogra heritage, Dogra Certificate, citizenship to West Pakistan refugees, settlement of Kashmiri Pandits and other migrants and welfare of border residents to name a few?
People of the state are heaving a shy of relief because of the just, fair, inclusive and nationalist policies of BJP government guided by "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas," stated Brig Gupta.
The people are happy with the war against corruption unleashed by the present government and want the process to reach a logical conclusion because the earlier popular governments led by NC and Congress were responsible for promoting corruption in the state with a long list of pending cases awaiting action asserted Brig Gupta.
