Jammu, July 22: Samba forest organized a plantation drive under the banner of green J& K drive an indicative of governor of J&k.
The Drive was organized in Purmandal forest Range at Baribrahmna in collaboration with Dogra group of educational institutions under the supervision of Divisional forest officer samba, Sh Abinav Ramyotra. The chief guest on the occasion was, Chairman of Dogra group of educational institutions During the occasion Forest department along with students and Faculty members planted 100 no of saplings of various species of ornamental plants in the surroundings.
Speaking on the occasion Abhinav ramyotra DFO samba Forest Division said that ,keeping in view major climatic change due to global warming on planet earth,there is the dire need of the hour that every individual plant a tree and protect it as these green trees are the the lungs of earth.
Officers who actively took part in the plantation drive, included Mohammed saleem malik, Range forest officer Purmandal, Sh Rakeshwar singh, Block forester Balole and other front line, field staff of Purmandal forest Range. |
