| JKTUC leaders visit Kandi areas | | | Early Times Reporter

Senior Congress Leader and District President, Trade Union Congress, Satwant Kaur Dogra visited the villages Jamoda, Badnai, Gangeri, Bindoo Da Pera, Papad Avtara and Papad in the Kandi area of Samba District and addressed a series of public meetings during the meet. People of the area apprised the leader about their problems and complained that no political leader visits them except during election month.
She said that the people of the area are leading life in miserable conditions and from 1996 onwards no basic amenities like water and roads has been provided by the local MLA’s. She assured people that she will take up their problems with the administration for early fulfillment. She said she will not hesitate event to agitate against her own government in order to solve the problems of the people.
She further said that ultimate power in democracy lies with the people in the shape of their precious votes and stressed upon value based politics. She alerted people to be careful this time while exercising their power and asserted that with the support of people Congress party has strength and capability to emerge as a single largest party in ensuing elections. Among others who spoke on the occasion include Mani Ram Sharma, Sansar Singh, Paras Ram Dogra, Mohammad Shafi, Sarpanch Chain Singh. |
