| Condition of KP’s in camps is pitiable: Bazaz | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 25 Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF) a socio-political organization has asked the centre to take notice of the problems being faced by Kashmiri Pandit migrants, particularly those living in camps at Kathua, Jammu and Udhampur. As per a press release, condition of migrants in tents is pitiable. The camps are no better that slums and it is unfortunate that the migrants have to survive in such conditions. JKDF, President Bhushan Bazaz while interacting with media person here today after a visit to some of these camps, during his one month long tour of the camps. Accusing the centre government of turning a blind eye to the migrants plight, he said the inhuman conditions in the camps in which the displaced people of Kashmir are living amply demonstrates the human rights abuse they are undergoing. Bazaz said migrants should not be forced to return home unless they are confident about the security scenario in the valley. Although their Kashmiri Muslims brethren are eager to see their return back to their home,” he said adding “we need to build confidence among the each other to ensure the early return of migrants”. He said composite culture of valley and history hold traditions are testimony of the fact that Kashmir is never complete without Pandits and Kashmiri Muslims. |
