JAMMU, JULY 23: To provide safe and secure environment in government schools, Nodal officers have been nominated in all the DIETs of Jammu Division.
As per a departmental handout, an order in this regard has been issued by Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta with a direction to designate Nodal officer child protection at all the DIETs for coordinating child protection activities in respective districts.
Pertinently, the Directorate of School Education Jammu has taken various initiatives for child protection like constituting counselling cells at different levels (DSEJ, DIETs, and Schools), Publicizing emergency numbers in schools, Launching tele-counselling helpline, screening of cartoon film Komal by Childline, Publicizing POCSO helpline in schools.
