| Popular classical-bhajan singer Vinod Aggarwal performs live | | | Early Times Reporter

A large number of devotees from different parts of the country and state attended the mega spiritual event “Maharaas Ka Aanand” last evening at Sohanjana and also paid obeisance at the Holy Samadhi Sathal of highly revered saint Shri Dewarika Nath Shastriji.
World famous Shri Krishna Bhajan singer, Vinod Aggarwal (Mumbai Wale), whom people had earlier seen only on their television screens and love to listen him, performed live and enchanted with his rich contented Shri Krishna Bhajans in his soulful voice, which forced the devotees to dance throughout the concert.
The program started with lighting of the traditional lamp by Mata Basanti Deviji, mother of Shri Dewarika Nath Shastriji alongwith Vinod Aggarwal, Baldev Sehgal (Jagadhri Wale), another Bhajan singer of repute and Shri Gana Dharji, son and disciple of Shastriji. Swami Hridyadeep Giriji was also present.
In the beginning, Baldev Sehgal recited “Guru Vandana” and then sacred mantra “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare” consecutively. Then, Vinod Aggarwal recited few of his famous Bhajans including “Sanwaria Le Chal Parli Paar”, “Tere Naina De Pilayan Chon Jara Jini Piti Ay”, “Channa Bey Ghar Aaja Bey”, “Piladey – Piladey Hari Naam Ki Masti, and others in slow as well as fast rhythm, while in between, he recited a number of verses from the rich poetry of Baba Bulley Shah, which altogether gave a great blend to the whole performance.
A full team of musicians including players of Tabla, Harmonium and some other instruments accompanied and supported nicely throughout the concert.
It was a memorable evening which the participants and people would never forget throughout their lives, which attracted around 2 lakh devotees coming from different areas of the state and country.
Minister for Health & Medical Education, Pt Mangat Ram Sharma and, National Conference (NC) provincial president and MLA, Ajay Sadhotra were among the prominent dignitaries who graced the occasion.
Though the venue of the program was quite spacious and management of the Shrine left no stone unturned to make adequate arrangements for the visiting pilgrims but it became insufficient in view of the rising number of devotees, who started visiting the sacred shrine since early in the morning.
The spiritual program was organized by Shri Dewarika Nath Shastriji Service Trust, Sohanjana under the patronage of Shri Ganga Dharji and with the full cooperation and support of various State Government Departments like PHE, PDD, R&D and the Police. |
