| Veterinary doctors hold meet, discuss demands | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 27 J&K Veterinary Doctors Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. M T Krishan, president of the association in which serious resentment was expressed regarding the delay by govt in providing additional pay to vets and para-vets in lieu of SRO-86 of 2006 as the same is being paid to PHE, Medical and Electric Department employees while as the govt has already declared Animal / Sheep Husbandry Departments as essential services vide SRO No: 86, of 2006. In the meeting, the members expressed shock over non-provision of farm allowance for vets/ paravets working in various Animal/Sheep farms, who have to work hard round the clock and even on Sundays and other gazetted holidays. Other demands raised in the meeting were creation of VAS posts in all uncovered with central govt.vets, early holding of pending Dpc’s of deputy directors and SDO/LDO’s posting of BVO-grade I officers only on the post of Rs.9000-14100 cadre, classification of BVO’s and deputation of vests for specialization like MVSc/ Ph.D on full pay. Among others who attended the meeting were Dr.A.K.Anand , Dr. Mohd.Sajjad, Dr.H.PSinghand representatives of all cadres of Animal/Sheep husbandry departments. |
