Doda police claimed to have solved a theft case and nabbed two thieves.
A complaint was lodged with Doda police about the theft of some goods from the shop of one Karan Singh S/o Dhanantar Singh r/o Parote and accordingly a police team lead by SHO Doda under the supervision of SSP Doda Manohar Singh was constituted. The police team raided various places to nab the culprits involved in commission of crime and finally succeeded in arresting two thieves namely Tariq Hussain S/o Mohd Yousaf r/o Karmanpur Gherater and Bilal Ahmad S/o Abdul Samad R/o Gundana, Tehsil Doda from Pul Doda and Bus Stand Doda city respectively and recovered different qualities of stolen cigarettes from their possession amounting to Rs.1,20,000. The arrested thieves were put to sustained questioning to know about further stolen goods and also regarding other theft committed at various places. One thief namely Shoket Ali S/o Abdul Majid Mir R/o Gundana, Thesil Doda, who is also involved in commission of crime is evading his arrest. The case is going on and some more arrests are likely to take place in near future. SSP, Doda has announced that the team which worked out the said case will be suitably rewarded. |
