| Probe ordered into detainee’s escape | | | Early Times Reporter

Police today ordered a probe into the escape of an arrested person from police lockup in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
One Surjeet Singh, who was arrested in connection with several cases of thefts in Kathua, Mahanpur and Basholi areas of the district on Monday, escaped from police lock-up last night, the sources said.
Taking a serious view of the issue, police ordered probe into the escape by a DSP level officer and an operation to re-arrest thief has been launched in the area. |
