Making a change in its earlier programme, Jammu and Kashmir Gujjars United Front has decided to launch the Rail Roko Andhoolan in the state from tomorrow.
Earlier, the front leaders at a press conference yesterday had announced to join the ongoing agitation including Rail Roko Andholan of the community members in Rajasthan from today.
We are also joining "Rail Roko Andholan" and going to stop Rail Traffic between Delhi-Jammu tracks from tomorrow. We will start our march from Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu at 11:00 AM on May 2008
He also said that the community leadership was also thinking on the idea of stopping supply of milk, mutton, vegetables and other commodities in the State to pressurize the Central Govt. to intervene in the matter of granting Scheduled Tribe status in favour of Rajasthani Gujjars. |
