Boys from Khour zone today made it into the final of volleyball in the inter-zonal sports meet of Jammu district beating Arnia zone 2-0 in the semifinals played at Government Higher Secondary School, Domana on Jammu-Akhnoor road, near here.
Now, in the final, to be played tomorrow, Khour zone will take on equally good side of Jourian zone. Earlier, in the semi-finals, Jourian defeated Jammu zone in straight sets.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals of under-17 volleyball, Arnia defeated Domana zone in straight equal sets of 25-10, 25-10.
Meanwhile, in wrestling competitions, Mohd Javed of Middle School Dansal, Rohit Kumar of High School Kangrail and Rajinder Singh of High School Rangpur won gold medals in their respective weight categories.
The inter-zonal competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the guidance of district officer, Jai Raj.
