Semi-finals position has been cleared in the under-17 groups of kabaddi and kho-kho in the ongoing inter-zonal (boys) sports meet of Jammu district at Government Higher Secondary School Domana on Jammu-Akhnoor road, near here today.
In the under-17 year kabaddi, Ghou Manasan zone, Bhalwal Zone, Jourian zone and Akhnoor have made it into the last four stages. In the under-17 Kho-Kho, Jammu zone, Dansal zone, Bhalwal zone and Domana zone have qualified for the semifinals.
Semi-finals position has also been cleared in kabaddi under-14 year with Jourian zone, Jammu zone and Akhnoor zone winning their respective quarterfinals today.
Meanwhile, in under-14 year Kho-Kho, Gandhi Nagar zone and Bishnah zone won their respective matches to advance into the next round.
Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, the four-day event will conclude with the holding of finals on May 30.

Kabaddi U-17 yr: Akhnoor zone bt Jammu zone 37-20; Ghou-Manasan bt Domana zone 47-18; Bhalwal zone bt Khour zone 33-17; Jourian zone bt Miran Sahib 45-17.
Kabaddi U-14 yr: Akhnoor zone bt Khour zone 43-30; Jammu zone bt Bishnah zone 38-13; Jourian zone bt Gandhi Nagar 61-25.
Kho-Kho U-14 yr: Jammu zone bt Khour zone 14-1; Domana zone bt Miran Sahib zone by one turn and four points; Bhalwal zone bt Akhnoor zone 7-2; Dansal zone got walkover Miran Sahib zone.
Kho-Kho-14 yr: Gandhi Nagar zone bt R S Pura zone 12-6; Bishnah zone bt Arnia zone 12-4. |
