DPS Jammu organizes meeting of CBSE 'Hubs of Learning'

JAMMU, Aug 3: The first meeting of CBSE 'Hubs of Learning' (HoL) for Hub JK3161 was held at Delhi Public School, Jammu on Saturday. Ruchi Chabra, Lead Collaborator Principal (LCP) welcomed the members of the hub schools and other officials and outlined the significance of Hubs of Learning as programme as mandated by CBSE. The Hub schools include: Doon International School Jammu, DPS Nagbani Jammu-(West), J&K Police Public School Jammu, RRL High School Jammu and Tiny Scholars Jammu.
The important points that were discussed in detail by the members incuded defining the objectives of the Hub, creating an open conducive and barrier-free learning environment to raise the standard of education, promoting a healthy value system in all schools, identifying individual needs of the hub, and framing of a Hub Calendar comprising of Scholastic and Co-scholastic activities and capacity building programme for the teachers. Every school in the CBSE hub shall conduct regular SWOT analysis and identify the core 'need' areas where help is required, such as teachers' trainings, students' exposure, training of non-teaching staff, etc. creating a School Improvement Plan (SIP) including all areas, especially academics coupled with a self-improvement graph by all hubs, were also discussed by all the members.
This meeting will be subsequently followed by exchange of good practices of teaching, infrastructural support and experiences in all spheres of school education in the future also. The meeting concluded with a frame work of the further plan of action.
