| Five injured as two groups clash in Mendhar | | | Early Times Reporter

At least five persons were injured in a clash between two groups over a land dispute in Tehsil Mendhar of border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir State.
Sources informed that National Conference MLA from Mendhar Javed Rana had called a 'negotiation meeting' of two groups over "Googati Dhok" land dispute at Dak Bunglow Mendhar on Thursday.
As soon as the meeting started, heated exchanges took place between the members of two groups resulting into a fierce clash among them.
Despite the intervention of MLA Mendhar, some members of both the groups got injuries. However, MLA had a narrow escape in the clash in which five members were injured, maintained sources.
The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. The MLA had to leave the venue to save himself from the rival groups, who reportedly exchanged fists and blows in presence of the former. |
