Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 29 The executive members of Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) a group of displaced Kashmiri Pandits have urged upon the state Government to declare Mela Khir Bhawani (Jeth Ashtami) as a state holiday. Convenor of KHC, P.L Kaul Badgami in the meeting said, that organization for the last more than ten years have been demanding holiday for two days on this auspicious day, so that KP’s living in camps etc are able to participate in the mela and pay their obeanciers at the shrine of Mata. M.L Thusoo, who chaired the meet, expressed his concern over the attitude of migrant relief authorities for not bifurcation of ration cards and enhancement of relief etc. Among others present in the meeting were J.K Raina, Beauty Pandita, A.K. Sadhu, K.K Bhat, A.N. Raina, Randeep Singh, B.L. Kaul, J.L Matoo, R.K. Kaul and B.L. Bhat. |
