SVO contemplates senior superintendents for districts

Corrupt beware! The state Vigilance Organisation is contemplating expansion at district level to catch corrupt in its own backyard.
A senior most officer of the state vigilance organisation has revealed, "Very soon the state vigilance organisation is going to station senior superintendents across all the district headquarters to oversee vigilance inquiries and sort out complaints originating at district level.
Giving an insight in to the working of the state vigilance organization, the officer revealed the plans of posting senior superintendents to supervise progress of cases at district level. The first thing on our agenda is to strengthen the network of vigilance deaprtment at district level and make public names and contact number of vigilance officers posted in different departments to allow complainants to file their complaints without facing any major hardship.
The officer said at present the focus of the state vigilance organsiation is to establish its credibility and engage departmental vigilance officers for flow of information to check rampant corruption in the state.
Citing shortage of manpower as the main impediment in the unique initiative the senior vigilance officer said a proposal is pending with the state government and they are hoping to receive state govt ‘s nod to launch full scale offensive against the rampant corruption in the state.
“We are awaiting nod from the state government before stationing senior superintendents across district headquarters” the vigilance officer said.
“We are already working in this direction and hope to rein in corrupt soon.
Announcing another measure the vigilance officer said very soon we are going to start updating our official website with details and names of cases pending at various stages .The officer also confirmed that approximately 400 cases in which either FIRs have been lodged or court proceedings are going on would be first updated on the website.
