| Police presents challan in Megha Razdan case | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 30 Police today presented challan in the Court of CJM Jammu against the Captain Chataniya Bhatwadaker husband of deceased Capt Megha Razdan u/s 306/498-A RPC. Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu YP Bourney after considering the challan directed the accused to appear before the court of sessions judge on June 26. According to the challan, the accused Captain Chataniya Bhatwadaker and deceased Capt Mega Razdan after completion of their trainings joined the engineering unit of the Army and were married in the month of September, 2006 after they fell in love. According to the challan after one month of their marriage their matrimonial ran in rough weather and they started quarreling. According to the challan Captain Chataniya Bhatwadaker was having an extra martial relationship with another girl namely Seema Kulkarni of Pune and used to sending her SMS and also call to her during nights. This relationship created rupture in the married life of both. It was alleged that accused Captain Chataniya Bhatwadaker ill-treated the deceased and because of the long telephonic conversations with Seema Kulkarni, the relationship between the wife and husband were strained. It was also alleged in the challan that Captain Mega Razdan had told this all to her parents and ultimately according to the challan the accused abetted to commit suicide, which she committed on July 1, 2007 at Kunjwani Army Quarters. On the complaint of Lt Col CB Parshad the police registered a case and started investigation and after completion of the investigation 54 witnesses were cited in the challan. The accused was arrested on April 1, 2008 and challan presented after completion of 60 days of the accused in the custody of police and judicial. JNF |
