| Vested interests won’t be allowed to hamper development: Mayor | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 30 Giving stern warning to the employees and staffers that the vested interests who are trying to hampering the pace of development work would not be allowed to do so, Mayor, Kavinder Gupta said that the JMC is trying hard to achieve a milestone by giving a push to the development works being started by the Jammu Municipal Corporation with a cost of around 4120 crores of rupees. He added that once these projects are completed the map of Jammu is going to observe a change. Addressing a press conference, here today, Gupta informed that a project to deal with the garbage, which is around 400 tonnes daily, is being started. He said the plant is equipped with new technology of hydro air and is being introduced in state for the first time. He added that to enhance the pace of development the JMC has provided Rs 10 lakh to every corporator to complete their projects. Among others who participated during the conference were JMC Commissioner Jeet Lal Gupta and JMC employees patron, Paras Ram Poonchi. |
