Jourian zone and Khour zone shared under-14 boys kabaddi and volleyball titles respectively in the four-day inter-zonal sports meet which came to an end today under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Government Higher Secondary School Domana.
In the under-14 boys kabaddi final, Jourian zone defeated Akhnoor zone 34-22 points. In under-14 volleyball, the Khour zone emerged the winner outplaying Arnia zone in straight sets 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-16) in best of five final played today.
Meanwhile, according to district officer of the DYSS, Jai Raj, the four-day inter-zonal competitions in girls section shall start tomorrow in three disciplines of volleyball, kho-kho and kabaddi (under-14 and under-17) at the same venue.
