| All India Open Chess meet from May Ist | | | Early Times Reporter

Organised by All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association in collaboration with Rural Development Society, the All India Open FIDE Rating Chess Championship shall start from June Ist at Nand Palace, Dhar Road in district Udhampur.
The week-long event shall be declared open on June Ist morning followed by the first round of competitions which will be monitored by an approved penal of experts from All India Chess Federation.
“The local participants can still deposit their entries upto 9 am on June Ist at the venue itself. In an attempt to encourage those taking part in the competition from J&K, the organizing committee has offered a special concession in the entry fee,” president of All J&K Chess Association, Atul Gupta told SAN.
To boost the moral of local players, the organizers have also made a provision for special prizes participants from J&K. |
