| DDC Rajouri convenes meeting of RDD | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 17: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review functioning of Rural Development Department.
The DDC reviewed the progress achieved with regard to execution of works under various schemes of RDD like MGNREGA, 14th FC, CD panchayats, opening of panchayat account in each panchayat for procurement of ICDS nutrition etc.
During the meeting, it was informed that an amount of Rs. 50 crore has been received in various panchayats under 14th FC and the works are being taken up in the field as per the plans prepared by Halqa Panchayats.
It was informed in the meeting that a dedicated bank account has been opened in each panchayat and 14th FC funds have been received in the same account. It was further informed that a dedicated bank account has also been opened under ICDS scheme where funds for procurement of ICDS nutrition shall be transferred.
The DDC directed for taking up one work which was identified in each panchayat during Back to Village programme.
Regarding clearance of pending liabilities, the DDC today released an amount of Rs.11.00 crore for 19 Blocks to clear the wage liabilities of MGNREGA for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Shama-Un Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Development Akhter Qazi, District Panchayat Officer Dr.Abdul Khabir and concerned Block Development Officers. |
