| POWERGRID celebrates I-Day | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 17: POWERGRID Northern Region Transmission System -II celebrated 73rd Independence Day with patriotism & enthusiasm. Flag hoisting, cultural and sports programmes were organized at all its establishments across the Region. At its Regional Headquarters, Grid Bhawan, Jammu. Shri J.P. Singh, Executive Director, NRTS -II, was the Chief Guest. He unfurled the national flag.in presence of Senior officials, employees, their families and children. On this occasion J.P .Singh, in his brief address congratulated the employees and their families on this pious day. He thanked the freedom fighters for the supreme sacrifices made by them to enable us to breathe in a free country. He urged upon the employees to continue to serve the organization with dedication and sincerity for the overall development of our nation. J P Singh called upon the children to excel in whatever field they jump into so that our country scales new heights in development and prosperity. He urged upon them to inculcate in themselves the spirit of brotherhood and patriotism. Besides, 73rd Independence Day was celebrated by NHPC at its Regional Office, Jammu. A large number of employees and CISF personnel participated. On this occasion, J.R. Chaudhary, Executive Director hoisted the tricolor. Speaking on the occasion, he recalled the martyrs of freedom and advised the employees to work hard with dedication for progress and prosperity of the Nation. He praised engineers and workers for their dedication and hard work for achieving MOU generation targets in J&K Region and called upon all the employees to work with more passion and sincerity for surpassing the generation records. |
