Dr. H.S Raina, the senior most veterinarian took Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu from Dr. D.R. Bhagat, who has been transferred as Sheep Husbandry Department, Kashmir.
An ex-army officer and alumni of the Nagpur veterinary college (NVC), Maharashtra, Dr. Raina joined Sheep Husbandry Department in the year 1973 as veterinary assistant surgeon after completing B.V.Sc. and A.H with distinction known for his technical skills/ knowledge, promptness and dedication, Dr. Raina has served the department in various capacities in all the three regions of the state viz Jammu, Kashmir and ladakh. He was also promoted as joint director in 2006 and finally took over as the director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu today. |
