| Truck breaks naka, cops had narrow escape | | | Early Times Reporter

A truck laden with ply boards broke the naka at Gujjar Nagar and destroyed the picket here today. A speedy truck bearing registration number JKO2N/7231 laden with ply boards was halted by policemen during naka checking but to their amaze, truck driver did not apply brake and damaged the police picket. The policemen who were six in number jumped here and there to escape from being hit. The truck then struck to the nearby poll. Some pedestrian had narrow escape but two children namely Shabnam and Zahid received minor injuries. As soon as police swung into action driver of the truck slipped away. The owner of the truck identified as Kulwant Singh r/o Miran Sahib, R.S. Pura was summoned to the police station. However a case under section 307, 427 RPC has been registered against the truck driver. |
