| Tehsil status for Ghagwal sought | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | May 31 Former MLA, Parkash Sharma has demanded that tehsil status be granted to Ghagwal, Ramgarh, Vijaypur, Purmandal and Rajinderpura in the newly created district of Samba. As per a press release, Sharma thanked Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in granting district status to Samba and thus fulfilling the long pending demand of the people. He said Govt has ordered that a youth from any part of the state can apply for employment but this should not apply to newly created districts. He said employment in new districts may be restricted to youth of the same district in the best interest of the unemployed youth of these new districts. Under Roshni Act thousands of application of the public is lying in the Revenue Department for their disposal. The action on these cases is being taken at a very slow pace which requires early disposal for the benefit of the needy applicants, he added. |
